As a result of the Great Troubles of the beginning of the 17th century in Russia, the Romanov boyars came to power to replace the ruling Rurik dynasty. The first tsar of the Romanov family was elected 16-year-old Mikhail, who was called to the kingdom in 1613. His father Fyodor Romanov was elevated to the rank of Moscow Patriarch. The Romanov family firmly established itself on the Russian throne and ruled for a little over 300 years.
40 portraits of representatives of the Romanov dynasty for the three hundred year period of this dynasty in power. Similar educational cards with royal portraits were first published in the 1880s during the reign of Alexander III.
In the design, most of the lifetime portraits of representatives of the dynasty were used. On the backs of the cards are biographical data of each of the characters, years of reign.
